    Description

For sale is a Northwest Coast Komokwa mask.
Komokwa is the chief of the undersea world who is known for his wealth.
The face is large, rounded and heavy, with wide, thick lips, as short broad nose with flared nostrils and wide round eyes.
This mask is a fine example of the Komokwa  image and the black lines are fish scales.  The eyes, nose, and ears are pierced.
The artist is master carver Jerry Smith of the Kwakuitl tribe.  Jerry comes from a long line of artists and is the brother of master carver Russell Smith.
The dimensions are 10 3/4"H X  8 5/8:  This signed mask is in very good condition with minor wear and the patina indicates some age.
I have been selling AUTHENTIC Northwest Coast Art since 1999 on eBay so buy with confidence.
