    Description

For sale is a Northwest Coast vintage cedar thunderbird signed by the artist Perry Lafortune.
Perry is Coast Salish and has an extensive history of collaborative projects.  Perry was trained by his brother, Francis Horne and his elders.
In NWC art, Thunderbird is the illustrious ancestor of many prominent human lineages and a powerful noble being. Thunderbird is a giant, supernatural bird named for his habit of causing thunder and lightning.
The measurements are 14" X 3 1/2" X 4" and in good used condition with some wear and some tiny white spots.
The base has a lot of writing on it and with a magnifier you can see the artist signature "Perry Lafortune `79".
I have been selling native art on ebay since 1999 so buy with confidence.
